Our off-the-shelf product used for developing bespoke e-learning solutions is our unique and easy-to-use Intelligent Shell System (ISS).

ISS enables you to create and maintain professional-looking, engaging, e-learning course materials without technical skills. It’s all done via simple web forms and is as easy as creating a document in Word. Using customisable templates you can:
  • Add, edit or delete sections
  • Add, edit or delete subsections
  • Add, edit or delete pages within sections
  • Add, edit or delete text and images within pages
  • Add, edit or delete quizzes
  • Upload, annotate or delete documents in any format (Word, PDF, etc)
  • Track employee use of the system
  • Create management reports

Technically we keep it simple by hosting your ISS e-learning site for you, although you can install the ISS on your own Windows server if you wish. Staff using the site don’t need any additional ‘plug-ins’ for their web browser unless you have uploaded content created in Flash.

And, unlike other systems, the ISS price structure is based on a one-off payment (which can be as low as £5000 + VAT) plus a very modest annual hosting / server maintenance charge.

Here’s how ISS can work for you:

  • We visit you to discuss your requirements and show you what’s possible.
  • You tell us what features you’d like if they’re not in the standard ISS (bespoke content, audio, video, animation, assessments, etc).
  • We send you a proposal with detailed costings.
Assuming you give us the go-ahead...
  • We create two alternative designs for your ISS site, either starting from scratch or working from any existing design / branding guidelines.
  • You select your preferred design and tell us if there are any changes you’d like us to make.
  • We set up the ISS shell on our servers or come out to install it on yours.
  • We give you a face-to-face training session of 1-2 hours.
  • You’re now ready to start adding your content.
  • If any bespoke content is required, we create and upload this.
  • Once complete, you trial the site with selected users.
  • We make technical changes and you make content changes if  required.
  • Your site goes live!

Typically this whole process takes about a month if you know what content you wish to deliver and if you have the raw materials already.

After you’ve launched your site and basked in the warm glow of congratulations from your colleagues, you need to think about keeping the site up-to-date of course. This is where ISS really scores – because instead of having to ring a techie to ask for a minor wording change, you can do it yourself in an instant. And if you have a large, multi-faceted ISS site, we can set up an editorial workflow process with different levels of administrative rights so that changes are approved before they are published.
